Beim Studium erschließen sich dem Spieler und der Spielerin die charakteristischen Elemente
der Stücke: die frischen Quarten- und Quintensprünge des Morgens, das nur durch kurze Pausen
unterbrochene Getriebe des Tages, der lange Atem am Abend und die Zeitlosigkeit der Nacht.
Da jede Begleitung fehlt, wird der Spieler auf Klangqualität, Dynamik und Artikulation besonderen
Wert legen.

Der Tonumfang reicht vom tiefem c bis zum d²: Die Studien sind für den Unterricht, das Konzert und für Wettbewerbe geschrieben.

As they study these pieces the players will discover their characteristic elements:
the bright leaps of fourths and fifths in the morning, the bustle of the day only interrupted by short
rests, the long breath of the melodic line in the evening and the timelessness of the night.

Since there is no accompaniment the player should attach particular importance to quality of tone,
dynamics and articulation. The tonal range stretches from low c to d². These studies are written for use
in teaching, concerts and competitions.
