First performed on 30 October 2024 by Bede Williams (trumpet) and Marianna Abrahamyan (piano), this set of bagatelles is intended for a natural trumpet based on a 1632 German design by Hanns Hainlein, and should likewise be one without finger-holes (or vents). Before any crooks are employed (as done here), the nominal pitch in D is also one semitone lower (for A=415 Hz), and is therefore in modern Db.
